Words From the Bible
Thank you so much for making Alexander Scourby's KJV Bible reading
accompanied by scenic wonders available to the public. We have an
autistic grandson who absolutely loves them! When he was three, he was
diagnosed with autism. His mother was pregnant with twins at the time,
six weeks away from delivery. The emotional trama this diagnosis
caused along with her size (there just wasn't much room for any more baby!),
brought a verdict of complete bed rest for her.
At a loss as to what to do with her then three year old autistic child,
she asked for the Scenic Wonder videos that we had purchased some time
earlier for my father when he was in the hospital at death's door.
(That in itself is another testimonial!)
Our daughter put the videos on next to her bed and although our
grandson jumped all around he stayed and watched clear to the end. The videos
became his favorites and helped keep his little brothers in the
"incubator" a little longer!
The most precious part of the story to us is that it was some time
before our grandson spoke any words,but among the first he spoke were verbatim
the words from the Bible as he had heard them on the videos! The most
important thing in this life had been planted inside of him! The
videos still have the power to calm him when he is struggling. He now watches
John a lot of mornings before going to school.
Thank you to the company for now making the videos available on DVD and
in such a great package at such a great price! I like to listen to the
CD's while I'm working around the house. Makes it go a lot easier.

As to Scourby's reading, I've enjoyed this since I was a kid. Scourby maintains a good flow and breezes through genealogies. Well worth having.

Alexander Scourby's Holy Bible
Mr. Scourby presents the bible with his great flare, feeling and knowledge. The King James Version is read with a sensational English accent resembling what a Shakespearian actor might give. He breaths life into each character's part as he reads reveling the fear of the lord as Moses walked on "hallowed ground" or the deep desire as Elijah asked for a double portion of Elias mantel or share in the joy of being "God's hand maid". If you enjoy the King James Version and have an incline to Shakespeare this, is the audio find of your life. It will take you back to the time of these biblical events and let you write God's word on your heart. Poetic can not begin to describe this set.

You won't want to stop listening!
If you're like me & can read a paragraph & then your mind starts to wander or you forgot what you just read, then listening to the Bible (especially while reading along) is something you should try! Alexandar Scourby's narration is wonderful & will keep your attention. I like to read along while listening, and I find that I noticed things in the Bible that hadn't popped out before.

Super-duper helper to faith!
I have been listening (mostly at night, as I fall asleep) to the Bible read by Alexander Scourby for a while now. This is a super-helper for anyone who wants to know the Bible but does not like to read or is too tired or busy. There is also a difference between READING the Bible and hearing the Bible. You pick up nuances and details that you might miss when you're reading, and some of these are very significant! This is a great gift for your Christian Friends. (Rom 10:17 KJV) So then faith cometh by HEARING, and hearing by the word of God.

Wonderful to hear God's Word
Hello, I have listened to other KJV Audio Bibles, but Alexander Scourby surpasses them all. Not only does he just read the Bible, but also he puts emphasis on certain words and phrases, and hence, the reading is not monotones. If you are looking for an Audio Bible (KJV), I strongly suggest that you get this one.

Scenic Wonders TV series is a Hit
I would just like to congratulate you on the success on the “Scenic Wonders Bible Series” on WGBC, which is an NBC affiliate. We started running your show in December of 1994 on Sunday morning at 6:30 am. This has always been a very dead time period for us which had no ratings so it was impossible to sell. We recently received the November book for Nielsen ratings and to our great surprise The Scenic Wonders pulled a 1 rating and 15 share. What was even more of a surprise is also pulled the ratings of our lead program up, “I Dream of Jeannie”. Quite frankly we were shocked. We knew the show was popular because people would call and tell us how much they liked the program, but we had no idea how popular until we saw the Nielsen ratings. We have now moved your show to a more prime time slot. Congratulations on a great show that is also inspiring.

What a Wonderful present
My brother has been sick for several years and lost his eyesight. One of his most treasured past times was listening to a Books-For-The-Blind bible. Unfortunately, it was cheaply made and the cassettes fell apart. The CD’s has been a God sent. Scourby’s voice is so pleasant to listen to, I could listen for hours on end. Great Buy! I recommend it.
I felt this was an excellent set! His narration adds reality to the scriptures. It's not over powering or anything. It's the true King James Version too, unlike when television shows portray biblical stories, they use other versions or half scriptures. The Scourby narration is an excellent investment and worth every penny. It would definitely inspire teens and other youth to listen to the bible. It's like listening to a play.
Good way to spend time in the car
I listen to them in the car. I read the Bible every day, and I enjoy being able to listen to the Bible as well. I feel that the Bible is God's word, and God is the only One that can provide security and salvation for mankind. God's plan for the earth is in the Bible. The Bible is more than a history book. Scourby provides a good voice to listen to. I highly recommend this set for anyone who enjoys listening to the Bible.

Scourby's voice was made to read the scriptures! His ability to match the tone of each passage is astounding! Without having to rely on dramatization, he is able to transport you to ancient Babylon, where Daniel is about to be thrown into the lions' den, or to Jerusalem, where 12 year-old Jesus discusses law with the priests and doctors.
